I am a student of eighth grade. This year I have enrolled in a new school. I remember very well the first day of this school. It was a very exciting and memorable day for me. I was very happy and excited the day before.
Dad had brought me a new school bag, books and a new uniform was also sewn for me. Mother taught me something and father sent me off to school with enthusiastic words.
I reached school on time by school bus. The Principal welcomed the new students. Aarti was also done by applying tilak to all the students. He patted my back lovingly. All the children had smiles on their faces and there was an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the class too.
All the students in the class were asked about their names etc. I also ate kachoris in the canteen during the lunch break. After that we went back to our respective classes. Then after two periods came the games period. I played kho-kho this is my favorite game.
When the holiday bell rang, the children jumped out of the school premises. Sitting in the school bus parked outside, we came to our respective homes. On the way too we all came home talking a lot. I will never forget this day.
When a person goes to an unknown place or meets an unfamiliar person, then he has many doubts. Similarly, when we go to a new school, our mind is full of doubts and questions. We are very worried. We look forward to learning about new teachers and classmates. I still remember my first day at the new school. I was in class tenth. I was going from secondary school to higher secondary school.
school report -
The experience of my first day in school dates back to the time when I had passed class VIII. My result was very good, I passed in first class. So I got an opportunity to take admission in a good school in the city. All the neighbors and relatives including my family gave their advice and suggestions. After listening to everyone's suggestion, my father got me admitted in a good school. After entering the school, my admit card was filled and submitted. After few days the admission list was released. And my name appeared in the first list itself. I was very happy to see this. After paying the fee, etc., he left home for school at the appointed time for his studies.
When I entered the gates of my new school, I was amazed. Its complex was huge in size. The school building was very beautiful. I found my classroom and went inside. Most of the seats were filled. I saw that the last bench was empty and sat there. All my classmates were staring at me obliviously. After sometime we went to the school playground for the morning meeting. There was a mass prayer. After that the principal, while addressing the new students, made them aware of the importance of discipline.
Our class teacher came to the class at the first bell. He introduced me to the whole class. He asked about my previous school and my exam results. In this way four hours passed. Some of my classmates came to talk to me. We went out during the recess. By then I had made some friends. I shared my lunch with them. He showed me the school library, science lab and indoor stadium. He also told me about some other teachers in the school. I took some 'notes' from him. He promised to help me complete my course. Some mischievous students tried to prank me. That experience was good too. Being the first day of school, I could not study after mid-term. Children started playing. I went to the sports house and played carrom board and chess. I really enjoyed playing the game. Then the holiday bell rang. The children took their bags and, talking amongst themselves, walked towards the house.
